Day 1
We will meet you at the airport in Bishkek, comfortably transfer to the Orion Hotel. In the luxury business lounge of the hotel, you will sign all the required documents and take part in a safety briefing. After a short rest, we will go to the fabulous restaurant “Frunze” – a fusion of modern culinary technologies and national traditions will definitely impress you.
Interesting fact: The first car appeared in Bishkek in 1912.
Day 2
At 9:11 am sharp we will start our journey to the sacred lake Issyk Kul with its crystal clear waters, which reflect the snow-capped peaks of the mountains. Comfortable Porsche Cayenne allows you to enjoy this road. You will visit the famous tower of Burana, solitarily towering over a sprawling plain. It dates back to the X-XI century. After driving along the shore of the picturesque lake, we will arrive at the rest house “Bars”. Dinner in national style is really impressive.
Interesting fact:
Cosmonaut Alexei Leonov, who was the first to go into outer space, compared Issyk Kul with the eye of the Earth when he saw the lake from space.
Day 3
In the morning you will have the opportunity to ride horses through a picturesque winding canyon. Then we will explore the Grigoryevskoye and Semenovskoye gorges. Evergreen crowns of conifers that carpet the foothills of the Tien Shan mountains are covered with snow. The road will wind along a turbulent mountain river past scenic mountain lakes. Lunch that day will be in Karakol.
We will visit an interesting museum and a monument to Nikolai Przhevalsky, famous naturalist. However, our program does not end there. We will visit hot springs, the waters there rise from the bowels of the earth. Having settled in a cozy complex “Ski Paradise”, we will meet with a Dungan family. Dinner is accompanied by a local cuisine.
Interesting fact: Dungan refugees from China moved to Karakol in 1877. In 1907, the architect Zhou-Su from Beijing was specially invited to the city to build a mosque. The peculiarity of the structure lies in the fact that not a single nail was used in the process of its construction, and all parts of the building were connected by means of cuttings and grooves.
Day 4
New Asia is here for you. Passing by the canyons covered green , we will literally get to another planet! Jeti-Oguz Canyon is a unique place where the local flora recedes and exposes bright red sandstones worn down by the wind. Behind the wheel of a Porsche Cayenne you will reach the most reserved places of this region!
See with your own eyes the powerful Barskoon waterfall and the amazing natural landmark – the rock Broken Heart, reddening against the backdrop of green forests. After lunch under the sky, we will go to another canyon, Fairytale, which is a labyrinth of canyons that reach their peaks into the crystal blue sky. But do not worry, our experienced instructor will certainly take you to the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake, where we will have a night’s rest in a comfortable base “Royal Apricot”, immersed in the aroma of an apricot garden.
Interesting fact: According to one legend, a large city used to be on the site of Lake Issyk Kul. After a strong earthquake, it went underground, the lowland was soon flooded with water. The survivors could not calmly survive the loss. Their grief was so strong that their tears filled the lake hot and salty like tears. In addition, its name goes back to the word “Issyk” – hot (like tears).
Day 5
Our journey continues and this time an unforgettable experience is coming as we will dedicate this morning to hunting! The location is also wonderful – it is on Mars itself. Not far from us there is a picturesque canyon, named after the red planet because of the rich color of its sandstones. Golden eagles, hounds and eagle hunters will be waiting for us and will demonstrate their skills during the Salbuurun National Hunting Games.
After lunch in nature under the open sky, a picturesque road will lead us to the hospitable city of Bishkek. Throughout the journey, you will always see the crystal Issyk Kul and majestic mountains. In the evening we will visit the ethno-complex “Supara”, where we will treat you to national cuisine.
Interesting fact: Nikolai Przhevalsky, one of the greatest discoverers of the Russian Empire in this region, was a cold and reasonable player. “I play to win my independence,” he used to say. Thanks to his luck and phenomenal visual memory, Nikolai even received the nickname Golden Pheasant. Once he won 12,000 rubles in one evening – a fabulous sum in those days! It was this money that allowed him to conduct his expeditions.
Day 6
Here our journey has come to an end. We sincerely hope that we were able to show you all the beauty and originality of this region.
After breakfast, we will comfortably transfer you to the airport and we hope that you will take with you wonderful memories of the days spent with Porsche Travel Experience Russia!
