Day 1
We will meet you at the airport of Irkutsk and take you to the cozy and hospitable Sayen Hotel, best hotel of Irkutsk. You will have enough time to relax before an exciting journey and adapt to the time difference. In the evening, we will arrange a briefing to do all formalities. A welcome dinner at the “Strizhi” restaurant with national cuisine will be a beginning for our journey.
Interesting fact: Baikal is the deepest lake of our planet. Its depth is 1,642 m, and its age is about 25 million years.
Day 2
Interesting fact: Baikal lake is an ultimate dream for many tourists. Recreation of Baikal is known by famous personalities. For example, a famous director, James Cameron, celebrated his 51st birthday here, and Vladimir Putin has also been here more than once, and even managed to dive to the bottom of the lake on the Mir deep-sea vehicle.
Day 3
The third day will give you an unforgettable trip to the Olkhon island. Still shrouded in a white blanket in spring, surrounded by ice grottos and caves, it will appear in its pristine beauty and purity with the flowing music of a spring drop. Driving Porsche, you will visit all the natural attractions of this unique island. You will also have an opportunity to skate on the transparent ice of Baikal lake. After an unusual lunch, we will continue exploring the charm of this fabulous land, where nature is majestic and beautiful. You will cross the Baikal lake on a comfortable hovercraft that will take you to the other side of Baikal lake to the welcoming “Baikal Riviera” hotel. During the dinner we will introduce you to the legends of the lake, which once again emphasize the mystical spirit of the Baikal land.
Interesting fact: About 544 different watercourses are flowing into Baikal lake. At the same time, only one river flows out of the lake — Angara. In the place of his birth on the lake it has a width of 1 kilometer.
Day 4
After breakfast, we will go to the islands of Bolshoy and Maly Ushkany by hovercraft. They are away of civilization, so they have preserved their original unique nature, untouched by the human. After exploring these protected areas, you will return to the Olkhon Island, where Porsche cars will be waiting for you. Driving cars, we will continue the journey, but in the direction of the hospitable Irkutsk, where you will be met by the known “SAYEN” hotel. After check-in, we will invite you to a farewell dinner at the unique restaurant “Sobranie Speshilova” – the best restaurant in Irkutsk.
Interesting fact: Baikal lake has the cleanest fresh water on the planet, and the lake is the most transparent of all freshwater lakes. At some areas, you can see its bottom at a depth of 40 meters!
Day 5
Our journey is coming to an end. After delicious breakfast, we will comfortably take you to the airport of Irkutsk. Here you will say goodbye to the Siberian winter fairytale. Porsche Travel Experience team will make every effort to make this trip a vivid memory for a long time.
Interesting fact: The ice on Baikal lake is completely transparent in many places. The wind blows the snow off the surface of the ice, and the weak mineralization of the water makes the ice surprisingly transparent. At the same time, the ice is so strong that you can even drive on it in trucks.
