Day 1
We will meet you at the airport of Mineralnye Vody and transfer you to the hospitable hotel “Mashuk Aqua-Term”. You’ll have enough time to rest before an eventful journey. In the evening, we will make a briefing to do all formalities. After that you will be invited to a welcome dinner at a restaurant with national cuisine.
Interesting fact: Elbrus Peak, reaching a dizzying height of 5,642 m above sea level, is the highest mountain peak of the European continent.
Day 2
Just after breakfast, we will go to drive over the roads of the foothills of the Caucasus Ridge. Driving a Porsche Cayenne we will go to the Upper Balkans – a picturesque land immersed in greenery. Our path will go through a gorge in a corridor of pointed cliffs, along stormy mountain rivers and waterfalls, among dark forests, a dense carpet covering majestic mountains. An excellent track goes all the way to the Mecca of ski tourism – foothills of Cheget. We will spend the night at the cozy Ozon Seven Peaks Hotel, where you can relax after a vivid day and admire the mountain peaks.
Interesting fact: According to tradition, the chair of the captain of the spacecraft is named after the mountain peak. Thus, the chair for the Soyuz spacecraft is called Kazbek, and the chair on the ship Voskhod is called Elbrus. In 2018, a chair called Cheget appeared aboard the Federation spacecraft.
Day 3
On the third day, we’ll travel to Arkhyz! The nature of these places is spiritualized and filled with life: herds of horses, sheep, many meerkats and eagles, the wingspan of which thrills. We will drive through real alpine meadows to the picturesque Gum-Bashi Pass, where you will taste aromatic open-air coffee. In Arkhyz we will be greeted by the hospitable “Arkhyz Royal Resort&Spa”. You can choose a mountain excursion or relaxing treatments in the hotel SPA center. At night, you will have an amazing trip to the Astrophysical Observatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Being on the roof of Europe, you will admire stars through a huge telescope.
Interesting fact: On the high-altitude plateau of the Elbrus region there is RATAN-600 – the world’s largest radio telescope with a reflector mirror with a diameter of about 600 meters.
Day 4
Finally, on the fourth day, we will go to the foot of Elbrus in the Jila Su Valley. The beauty of this mountain peak is fascinating. Without any doubt it is considered to be one of the 7 miracles of Russia. Two sharp peaks covered with glaciers all year round will be visible almost throughout our journey. Moreover, if the weather allows, Giles Su Elbrus will appear in front of you in all its glory. There is also a valley of narzans in the Malkinsky Gorge. This is another asset of the Caucasus. After an intense day, we will return to Pyatigorsk, to the Park Rodnik Hotel, where you will be offered a delicious dinner.
Interesting fact: An ancient Caucasian legend tells us that in ancient times at the boiling well of the Bogatyr’s water “Nart-Sana” there was a pole on which a silver bucket hung on the chain with the words embossed on it: “The Traveler, stop and bow. The water of the spring gives strength to young people, restores health to the elderly, beauty and love to women.
Day 5
Our journey is coming to an end. After a breakfast, we will comfortably take you to Mineralnye Vody Airport. The Porsche Travel Experience team will do their best to keep this trip a vivid memory with you for a long time.
Interesting fact: Elbrus is considered an inactive volcano, because the last eruption was more than 5000 years ago. Some scientists consider it extinct, while others consider it fading. As per Moscow State University specialists – Elbrus may wake up in this century, but not earlier than in 50 years.
